HOTEL RESERVATIONS

Hotel reservations for attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors MUST be booked directly through the conference online lodging reservation system (do not contact hotels directly). The deadline for room reservations is WEDNESDAY, MAY 23, 2012.

Please note:

  • You must be registered for the conference in order to receive the conference group room rate.
  • Attendees requesting the per diem hotel room rate must meet the following requirements:
    • Be active duty military or government personnel and will be required to provide a current government ID upon check-in. Retirees and non-government personnel are not eligible to receive the per diem hotel room rate.
    • Civilian contractors traveling on government orders must provide a statement of authorization on letterhead from the office which he/she is representing. This authorization must be presented to the agent at check-in.

OTHER INSTRUCTIONS

  • All reservations must provide a credit card number to guarantee the room. The credit card will not be charged until the date of arrival or if cancelled less than 48-hours prior to arrival.
  • It is a policy at all hotels to provide a credit card or cash deposit for incidental charges.
  • At most hotels they accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or Diner’s Club.
  • At most hotels check-in time is 3:00pm.
  • At most hotels check-out time is 12:00pm.
  • At most hotels, any departure after 12:00pm is subject to the full day charge.
  • Some hotels have an early departure fee.
  • Please familiarize yourself with the policies at your selected hotel at the time of the reservation. The Conference Team cannot be held responsible for room cancellation policies, check-in/check-out times, early or late departures, additional fees, etc.
  • Some suite upgrades may be available at a higher rate on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed until check-in. Suite requests must be approved in advance by the Conference Team. Send an email with suite request information to elaine.powell@halfaker.com. Government attendees are not eligible for suite upgrades.

CANCELLATIONS

Rooms may be cancelled up to 48 hours prior to the individual’s reserved arrival date without penalty.

ACCESSIBILITY FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES

This meeting is ADA accessible. Escalators, elevators, and wheelchair ramps are conveniently located at all conference supported hotels. The convention center, all session rooms and the Exhibit Hall are readily accessible by scooter or wheelchair.

Conference staff will attempt to accommodate attendees with ADA Special needs. When registering please annotate any special services that you require due to a disability.

AIRPORT INFORMATION

Detroit Metro Airport is located approximately twenty-five (25) miles southwest of downtown Detroit. Approximate driving time is 20 minutes to the convention center.

DRESS CODE

The dress code for this event is business casual. Meeting room temperatures vary widely as do personal comfort levels. Participants may wish to bring a sweater.
